Director & Associate Director
Jon and Diane have been in ministry with young people for over forty years, formerly with Cru, Watkinsville First Baptist Church, and Worldwide Discipleship Association. Discovering an open door for ministry with young people through The Great Exchange has led the board of directors to ask Jon and Diane to give direction to this movement. They have five children, five grandchildren, and reside in Watkinsville, Georgia.
Robert & Donna Jenkins
Robert and Donna Jenkins have been doing outreach and evangelism for over 25 years. They have worked with Positive Direction for Youth, Navigators, College Impact, Youth Journey and numerous other youth and young adult ministries. They have a passion for community service and outreach! They have been serving The Great Exchange for two years and are excited about the new opportunities of being on staff! They take the Scripture to heart, found in Matthew 25:40, when Jesus said, “The King will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these
brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” They have seven children, (Joshua, Destiny, Josiah, Dynasty, Joseph, Jonathan, Dominique). They are both undergraduates of North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University, graduates with a Master’s degree in Ministry from Luther Rice University and a PhD in Christian Education from Bethany. They reside in Athens, GA.
Tom and Victoria Rush
Tom Rush has served as a pastor and military chaplain for over 34 years. He retired from the Air Force Reserves in 2005 after a military career of 28 years that included service in the Navy and Air Force, and one tour of duty with the Marines. He has used a similar approach to evangelism that is at the foundation of The Great Exchange ministry to lead thousands of military men and women to Christ. He and his wife Victoria live in Hartwell, Georgia. Tom is currently an itinerate evangelist with TREAD Ministries (www.pastortomrush.com) and Staff Evangelist at Liberty Baptist Church. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Immanuel Baptist Theological Seminary. Originally from East Point, Georgia, Tom and Victoria now reside in Monroe, Georgia. They have three sons and nine grandchildren.
Ed and Linda Caouette
Ed has been saved in Jesus since 1974, when he was brought from darkness to the light by God’s grace. He and his wife Linda have been married since 1979 and have four children and eight grandchildren. Upon graduation from the University of Connecticut, Ed went on to earn an M. Div. from Biblical Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Ed then served as an elder in several churches in New England. His military experience includes six years in the US Navy submarine service and eighteen years as an infantry officer in the US Army Reserves. Ed’s work experience includes sales and management in the floor covering, electrical and electronics industries. He is presently retired from both military and civilian work, serves as an Elder in his church, and teaches NT Greek.
Matheus Soares Silva
Matheus is from Brasilia, Brazil, where he studied International Relations at Universidade Catolica de Brasilia. He first participated in the The Great Exchange in 2014 during our first trip to Brazil; Matheus has remained involved ever since. He lived in Athens for one year where he served full-time with TGE, and now has returned to Brazil and is developing TGE’s ministry there. Matheus loves missions and international relations and is excited to further the gospel through The Great Exchange.
Caleb & Katie Deans
Caleb and Katie graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in Accounting and Communication Studies respectively. They have been married since January 2015 and live in Athens, where Caleb works as an auditor for the state of Georgia and Katie has her MA in Professional Counseling. They love Jesus and look for opportunities to share His grace with others. They will be working part-time as our accountants for The Great Exchange and we are so glad to have their help and skills.
